Description:
This intensive 5-day course is designed to equip geophysicists, reservoir geologists, and exploration specialists with the knowledge and practical skills to perform seismic inversion and AVO (Amplitude Versus Offset) analysis for quantitative reservoir characterization. Participants will learn workflows for pre- and post-stack inversion, the theory behind AVO responses, rock physics fundamentals, and how to integrate inversion results with well and rock data to improve reservoir prediction.
Using exercises with real datasets, the course emphasizes practical application, QC of input seismic and well data, interpretation of inversion volumes, and fluid/lithology discrimination with AVO attributes.
