Overview
This advanced 5-day course provides geophysicists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers with an integrated approach to quantitative seismic interpretation (QI) and rock physics modeling, enabling participants to link seismic data to rock and fluid properties with confidence. Participants will learn to perform rock physics analyses, build forward models, perform inversion, and interpret elastic attributes for reservoir characterization, lithology prediction, and fluid discrimination.
Emphasis is placed on practical workflows and hands-on exercises using real datasets to build rock physics models, generate synthetic seismograms, perform AVO and elastic inversion, and integrate QI results with well data and reservoir models.
