🎯 Course Description:
This 5-day intensive course equips geologists and drilling professionals with the essential skills and knowledge to perform wellsite geological operations, from planning and well setting to real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and reporting. Participants will gain hands-on experience in interpreting cuttings, describing lithology, monitoring gas and mud parameters, correlating well data, and recognizing drilling hazards. The course covers both onshore and offshore wellsite operations, with a focus on safety, best practices, and communication with drilling and subsurface teams.
The course emphasizes practical workflows for well setting decisions, casing point determination, and well control indicators. Real case studies and exercises using well logs, cuttings photos, and drilling parameters give participants the ability to confidently manage geological operations at the rig site.
